SOCIAL MEDIA TIPS FOR PIP HOLIDAY LEADING UP TO THE MARKET
1. Porter Flea has provided you with poster art by @hewandco. We recommend you share it on your socials anytime between now and December 1, and again sometime around December 3 as a reminder for your followers.
2. Use our hashtag #PiPHoliday20 on any grid post you want us to see and potentially repost.
3. Your new products don’t have to be a secret. We love to share teasers and/or the process behind your
work.
4. You can announce your new products anytime, but they may not be for sale until December 5. We recommend you share good photos of them on your grid by December 4 with our hashtag #PiPHoliday20.
5. You can expect at least one post in our Stories with a direct link to your website prior to December 1.
6. Check out our vendor page and follow other vendors so you can post about them too. It is the Porter Flea way!
IN GENERAL
1. Please make your content is as accessible as possible when tagging @porterflea, especially in Stories. Avoid small or hard-to-read fonts and avoid talking to the camera without captions.
2. Don’t tag us in 100 things on your grid or in Stories. This isn’t the lottery- that won’t make your odds of being reposted go up. It’s a quality over quantity situation.
3. Be yourself! Porter Flea is very much a collective of human beings and we don’t adhere to any specific business etiquette.
DURING THE MARKET
You can expect at least one post in our Stories with a direct link to your website on December 5 or 6. Please post to Stories and tag us @porterflea at least once both days, preferably during morning hours.
Don’t tag us in 100 Stories during the market. This crowds our inbox and prevents us from seeing everyone’s work in a timely manner. Tag us @porterflea in the 3-4 Stories you most want reposted.
Remind your followers of our official code PIPHOLIDAY and what it means at your shop. Again this is for any discounts or free shipping you are offering over the weekend.
